The show was created by Jonathan Murray, and is produced by Bunim/Murray Productions, the same company that produces The Real World. The show's premise follows seven women with a number of personal, behavioral, and psychological problems ? deemed "bad girls" ? as they live together for four months. Cameras record their relationships and their attempts to accomplish specific goals. It's currently in its fourth season, which premiered December 1, 2009.
The Season 4 opener introduces seven new "bad girls"---Annie, Flo, Kate, Kendra, Natalie, Portia and Amber---who swoop in on a luxury Los Angeles mansion and try to coexist with one another, while one of the new girls proclaims herself leader of the house
Self-proclaimed house leader Natalie is in for a rude awakening when the other Bad Girls won't bend to her ways, leading to an explosive battle that could send one of them packing. ''While the other girls resist various attempts at house dominance by Natalie, Kate quickly discovers her inner Bad Girl when she stands up to the house dictator. Kendra and Natalie's budding alliance is threatened when the two come to blows during an explosive argument.''
After Portia's troubled home life breaks her down, a personal jab from Natalie leads to a jaw-dropping confrontation that no one will ever forget. Portia's rocky home life continues to take its toll on her, leading her to violently snap when Natalie takes things one step too far. Annie tries to break out of her pattern of dating married men during a hilarious night of speed dating.
Flo's lesbian hookup disgusts Amber and leads to a showdown that could change everything; the girls glam it up for a photo shoot and reunite with a controversial Bad Girl.
Natalie lures Kate into an unlikely alliance, triggering an angry backlash from the rest of the house, specifically Kendra. Elsewhere, Annie becomes fed up with being walked all over and finally defends herself while developing a harder edge.
The clip show highlights season four's dramas, and allows viewers to see what they didn't get to see on TV and also personal thoughts from the original eight bad girls about their season. Included in the special are never-before seen footage and extras.
Annie comes out swinging, wielding her newfound sense of power by rounding up the other ladies and leading a charge to evict Kate from the mansion. Elsewhere, two familiar folks arrive for an innocent visit.
In the Season 4 finale, the remaining "bad girls" bid adieu to one another. They decide to go out with a big bang by planning a grand bikini parade and taking a cross-country adventure.
The Bad Girls reunite one final time to take care of unfinished business, but Flo’s thirst for revenge leads to a table-flipping showdown like no Bad Girl has ever seen.
